Abstract: Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) have a key role in shaping the business environment both at national and global levels, being at the core of the corporate and organizational ecosystem. This paper outlines the SMEs roadmap to becoming a benchmark in the national, European and global economy. It analysis how SMEs have developed in response to the volatile economic conditions, technological advancements and unpredictable regulatory changes. By assessing their impact on national economies and their alignment to the global market trends, the paper highlights the key factors contributing to SMEs success, including competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability.
