Abstract:
After 1990 with the emergence of major crises in Latin America and Russia, Country risk has gained a broad economic and political spectrum. There for implications of country risk have been combining quantitative analysis tools with the qualitative ones. Paper addresses the following topics related to country risk as well as formal systems of country risk assessment (quantitative analysis), statistical systems in country risk assessment (the rapid development of IT and application of statistical techniques for estimating the sovereign risk) and then rapid alarm systems (changes in country risk to be seen quickly). It follows a detailed approach to analysis based on scenarios (evolution of political systems and socio-economical aspects of a country) and by way of presenting large country risk associated with a particular state of the country through studies that combine quantitative and qualitative models in a manner that excludes any of the two aspect compared. It is also mentioned the importance of political risk, financial risk and economical risk, offering relevant information and defining the overall characterization of the whole underlying country risk determination and evaluation.
