International Conference Modern Approaches in Organisational Management and Economy, 2011, vol. 5, issue 1, 177-185
Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to study social responsibility in the romanian banking system. The research aimed to bring into attention the initiatives of banking organizations, regarding the implementation of corporate social responsibility. Each organization sets its own priorities profile so as to integrate their system goals and to achieve a "triple foundation" as well balanced. The number of corporations that voluntarily agree to release reports on how they interact with the natural environment or the human resources development has increased considerably in developed economies. The transparency of information provided for the stakeholders is very low, with an almost invisible level of reporting on corporate social responsibility activities.
