Abstract: The evolution of the Internet has also significantly influenced the field of public administration. Currently, there are a number of problems in public administration related to how to plan resources in relation to the needs of citizens. Even in cases where transparent strategies exist and are implemented, difficulties may arise in carrying out a correct and complete analysis of the data, but also of the needs that the community has regarding the increase of the living standard. Thus, the concept of digital governance was born, which aims to remove the existing problems regarding the way of public administration. The objective of this article is to present the current role of the Internet in public administration activities, both by studying the literature but also by interviewing decisionmaking staff in institutions and development trends in the field.
