Abstract:
This study investigates the role of the state in the field of renewable energy with an eye to reveal a change of paradigm, in the sense that this role is nowadays reconsidered and intensified. Therefore, this study reveals firstly some issues regarding research and development services in the field of renewable energy. Secondly, it discloses the technological maturity of renewable energy, and thirdly, it envisages the new intensified role of the state in this field. The results of this study may be used for future research in the area of implementing renewable energy projects
