Investments in education - an imperative objective for Europe

Abstract: The increase of competitiveness through education-research-development, the demand for more, better jobs, the assurance of a sustainable development are the results of the investments made in education and development. However, we believe that the investments made in education can only get efficiently anchored in the European context, as the Communication of the Economic and Social Committee to the European Parliament, the Council, the Economic and Social European Committee, the Regions Committee regarding the fully promotion of the youth’s participation in education provide. The stipulations of the communicational assent mention that the investment programmes must be aimed at the achieving of necessary reforms in key fields, such as curricular fields, quality assurance and qualification acknowledgement. Those who invest in education and training – the state, the local communities, the organizations and the people that are not aware of the European dimensions of the decisions they make, will have to deal with a low efficiency of their investment.
