Abstract: A well known truth to both the experts and the population states that health should be seen as an investment too in the most important factor of production, the human factor. In the following paper we analyzed the economic efficiency in the sanitary field using some specific indicators such as net present value, internal rate of return, cost/ benefit ratio.
