The Contribution of Education on the Economic Development

Abstract:
The paper illustrates the contribution of the education to the economic development. The main analyzed aspects are: a short history of the education’s contribution to the economic development, the principals modalities of influence and the negative effects of the lack of education and over education. Those aspects represent scientific results of the research program Micro and macrosystemic efficiency in Romanian higher education activity (CNCSIS cod 115/2005, research project coordinator senior lecturer Claudiu Cicea, Ph. D).
