Silvia ANGHEL – Vlad

Proceedings of the INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE, 2017, vol. 11, issue 1, 829-844

Abstract: Performance evaluation is a complex process through which all the personality components of an employee and the impact on the final results of their work are analyzed. In literature, the word performance is used in all the areas, it became a polysemic word, well known but, even if it has many definitions, there is no universal definition of this concept but only particular definitions regarding some meanings or general definitions. The etymology of the word performance is the Latin word perform / are and it is translated as to finalize a desired action, to entirely shape something. In English, the noun performance means to accomplish something or the way a company manages to achieve the pre-determined goals. In this work, the evaluation of the human resources performance has the purpose to define the concept of organizational performance, the evaluation of the human resources, the methods and tools used to evaluate the performances in Romania and in a society in ascension that operates in a services, operational and logistics area
