Proceedings of the INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE, 2022, vol. 16, issue 1, 532-538

Abstract: Agriculture is an important area that contributes to food security at the national level, and at the EU level, Romania plays an important role in the market for agricultural products. Potatoes, the most consumed vegetable product in Romania, will show a decrease in both areas, by around 57% in 2021 compared to the reference year 2014, and total production by 60%. Calculating the Gini coefficient, it can be seen that in the case of imports, the degree of concentration is low, while in the case of exports, the degree of concentration is high. Applying the simple linear regression, potato imports are strongly influenced by the domestic consul.
