Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the correlation between knowledge management and web content management platforms and how these can act as enablers for knowledge management. Types of knowledge and how information systems helps in gaining competitive advantage are also presented in the paper. The research done by the authors is partially theoretical and partially applied and extracted from a case study performed on a small number of public administration institutions.
