Abstract:
This study investigates coach behavior, athlete-coach relationship and athlete performance results by coach’s age, gender, nationality, and number of coaches with whom the athlete collaborated and the connection between them. 164 athletes from different sports participated in the survey. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire, in Google Forms. The questionnaire used items from CBS-S and CARM-Q. The responses were coded and interpreted in SPSS for statistical relevance. Study findings were that coaching behavior, athlete-coach relationship and sports results have a positive correlation and are influenced by the coach’s age and the number of coaches with whom the athlete collaborated. Athlete’s results in sports are influenced by the coach’s nationality too.
