Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to emphasize the role of psyhical education in the romanian modern society as a means of health, education and social integration. Psyhical education develops a widw range of interests, mends and motivation. It educates the individual towards being courageous, determined, consistent, calm, modest, honest, etc.. The lock of psyhical education leads to obesity, cronic diseasses which alter the quality of life, endanger it white consequently triggers expenss in the health landget. As experts in this field we have to support psyhical education, develop strategies on both regional and national level and raise awarness of this phenomenon in our society.
