Abstract: The paper focuses on Saudi Vision 2030 long-term national strategy and compares data for Saudi Arabia with that of the Arab world to assess the level of goal attainment. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive historical analysis of economic growth in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, using data from 1974 to 2023. Its findings will be valuable for policymakers and scholars seeking to identify the factors that drive or hinder economic development in the region. Additionally, by examining the effects of Saudi Vision 2030, the study offers an empirical assessment of how strategic policy initiatives influence both economic and non-economic outcomes in Saudi Arabia. One of the key findings is that the services sector has a negative relationship with GDP growth in both Saudi Arabia and the broader Arab world.
