Abstract: Italian Bank Foundations at present, due to their public targets, are subjects of renewed interest by the legislator. The preservation and the enhancement of cultural and environmental goods, together with art sponsorship and patronage, have been driving the activity of “fondazioni bancarie”. The amount of resources needed, and the high number of grants to be funded, call for planning of intervention and co-operation strategies; in this respect, the creation of a «Fund co-participated by “Fondazioni bancarie”» could constitute an example, also in a perspective of a stronger solidarity link between Northern and Southern Italy.
