Abstract:
In the last 10 years the life of a museum has changed a lot. New visitors have more needs, look for services like bookshops, cafeterias, edutainment; usually they have less time to spend in a cultural institution, but often are really demanding. In the meantime, and as a result, museums have increased their offer in terms of services to the public and of cultural activities (temporary exhibitions, concerts, film festivals). The experience of Associazione Civita tells how a private association can collaborate with public institutions in order to im-prove museums offer, contributing also to their revitalisation and to the development of national economy.
