Abstract: The Italian Republic and its Constitution are nearing their sixtieth anniversary. Little more than half century does not represent too long time, above all if compared to the age of more long-lived democracies such us the English or French. The above timeframe is nevertheless sufficient for giving an opinion on the activity of the Constituent Assembly that produced a new constitutional pact. This paper is focused on a specific part of the new republican Constitution. Namely within the political economy, an analysis of III (art. 29-34) and IV (art. 35-47) titles of the Constitution.
