Abstract:
Governments are constantly forced to take decisions based on estimates and forecasts derived from models whose assumptions are not reflected in the daily work of economic agents. But if the theoretical construct on which they are based is at least doubtful, how effective can an indication of policy be? The aim of this work is a synthesis of the literature on control theory with particular emphasis on the control of chaotic systems. Synthesis seems to be lacking in the literature or heavily dated not allowing to consider the opportunities offered by the new methodologies and tools.
