Abstract: The new manufacturing challenge for the North East area of Italy is based on three pillars: a new digital manufacturing era, a return to the individual as artisan-producer and the shift to quality and design of a new export model. During the 2001-2011 decade the Veneto Area has lost 120 thousand workplaces but widened an international approach that granted international markets for 4 sectors Made in Italy (Furniture, Food, Automation, Fashion). But singular cannot cope with those big challenges, the future is in the hands of the ruling class and in the models that can be implemented.
