THE UNIVERSAL LAW OF GRAVITATION AND THE DEATH OF DISTANCE

Peter Nijkamp

Romanian Journal of Regional Science, 2013, vol. 7, issue 2, 1-10

Abstract: This paper addresses the validity of Newton’s universal gravitation law in the emerging digitalworld. It is argued that the Newtonian gravity principle may also have a validity in cyberspace, but that Tobler’s ‘First Law of Geography’ offers a more appropriate approach.
