Abstract: This book review is writtenfor the volume Ana Maria Preoteasa (2018)Multiple facets of precarious work in Romania, Bucharest: ProUniversitaria Publishing House. The book addressesprecarious work through its characteristics as atypical employment. Simultaneously, in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis focus on the main sources of vulnerability for the rural population, youth, Roma minorities in general, and Roma womenin particular. The book's added value is the mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods in emphasizing employment-related factors for one of the most vulnerable groups in inserting in the labor market in Romania: youth from the social protection system, Roma population, and Roma women.
