A Philosophical Introduction to the History of Statistics’ Conceptualization

Abstract: This paper describes an attempt to an original approach to the history of statistics’ conceptualization, otherwise than in the most introductory parts of the statistics’ books. From identify difficulties to write something new and useful in order to discover new understandings of statistics, this introduction to the history of statistics’ word, without excessive historical details, is more a philosophy way of being statistics, according to its specific thinking formats, that have evolved during the time. A small number of questions about statistical significance and its history, but few consistent answers are the essence of this article.
