Abstract:
The FSA methodology has the purpose to provide a more sistematical and proactive database to the World Maritime Organization, for the elaboration of regulation, being used as an instrument in preventing unwanted events. It is simultaneously a modality to ensure that measures are taken before the occurrence of a disaster. FSA addresses, preferably, a specifical category of ships and navigation areas, and can be applied to a certain maritime safety problem, to identify options for the efficient reduction of risks The FSA methodology is, in fact, a standardized of the risk evaluation.
