Considerations of National Accounts Deflators

Abstract: One problem highlighted by the specialized literature is to identify the most appropriate ways of deflating the national accounts aggregates. Starting from this, the authors present the issue of the price indices used in the construction of National Accounts, highlighting the peculiarities of calculating the national accounts in terms of inflation and the need to estimate macroeconomic aggregates in constant prices.
