Abstract: This paper presents the evolution of the consumer prices, which in turn is a measure if the inflation. By using official statistical data, the authors synthesize the main characteristics of the price indicators. The research emphasizes the the divergent evolution between the consumer price index, as an overall and in structure, in comparison with the evolution and appreciation of the national currency.
