Abstract: In this paper the author presents the situation of tourist traffic, both nationally and internationally. The analysis is performed in order to formulate and implement a strategy for the development of rural tourism services, and thus, to ecotourism. The evolution of this area depends, mainly, of satisfying the demand for such services and improving their quality.
