Abstract:
In this paper, the authors present the trends in the private pensions system of Romania. The main topics analysed are the two pillars of the system (Pillar II and Pillar III), the volume of the contributions, the assets of the pension funds, the evolution of total assets. Also, the analysis based on age groups provided useful conclusions for the study, as well as the structural study of the currency characteristic. A section of the paper is dedicated to the performance indicators on the private pensions market, key parameters who help everyone interested in the appraisal of a singular fund, or comparative analyses across the market.
