Abstract:
The Industry and Construction Branches consistently contribute to the achievement of Gross Domestic Product. In recent years, the industry has been stagnating, but after 2013 when the main effects of the economic and financial crisis have overcome, it has gained new momentum. In order to characterize the situation in the industry, it is necessary to consider the obtained results based on the figures published by the National Institute of Statistics. In this context, we can take into account some indicators such as: the turnover obtained in Industry, the evolution of industrial works, the evolution of construction works and, last but not least, the evolution of turnover in construction. Of course, we can also discuss new industry orders in real and nominal terms as well as construction works or industrial production for export. The article analyzes precisely these aspects in the sense of highlighting the figures presented in the tables or the suggestive evolution reflected by the graphical representation. There is a positive evolution in the field of industry and even in construction. In the Constructions branch we can consider two aspects. On the one hand, the slower evolution when we refer to real estate and more pronounced developments when it comes to industrial construction or the construction of new production units either by developing existing ones or by building new companies in this field.
