Abstract:
This paper examines the impact of banking sector in providing financing to Small Scale Enterprises (SSE) in Nigeria using regression analysis. Results from the study reveal that the banking sector financing of SSE is not significant in Nigeria. The paper recommends, amongst others, that Promoters of SSEs and Nigerian entrepreneurs should generate feasible and viable business ideas and plans that have clear profit potentials. This will help them win the attention of the banking sector, by facilitating their willingness to grant credit to them.
