Abstract:
This article contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationship between a leader’s psychological capital and followers’ assessment of his/her authentic leadership. A sample of working adults who rated their direct supervisors’ psychological capital and authentic leadership revealed a positive relationship between a leader’s psychological capital and his/her authentic leadership. The study also found that both PsyCap other-rated and authentic leadership other-rated scores were a good fit with each theory’s hypothesized model.
