Sustainability Issue: is Business-NGO Partnership a Panacea?
Abul Kalam Azad
Journal of Social Economics, 2015, vol. 2, issue 1, 25-30
Abstract:
The question of whether social partnerships between business and NGO are able to resolve the challenges of sustainable development is still unresolved, and it seems that the answer to this question will never be straight away ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Rather, it might be possible to say: to what degrees such partnerships are able to resolve the challenges of sustainable development. Thus, this essay finds that the concept of business-NGO partnership has been working partially and, so far, this kind of partnership as a whole has produced some positive results but not yet been able to resolve the challenges of sustainable development to a noticeable extent.
