Behavioral Economics in the First-Year Experience

Abstract: Many colleges and universities have put in place some form of freshman or first-year experience. This article suggests the use of a course in behavioral economics when the first-year experience has an academic basis and demonstrates how such a course can assist in the achievement of acculturation goals as well as help diagnose areas of strength and weakness in academic preparedness.
