Abstract:
This paper discusses the continuation of an effort to develop indicators for macrosociological concepts. Indicators for two concepts are suggested: for the knowledge that a societal unit commands and for the mobilization of its membership. The theoretical justification for focusing on these two concepts is briefly discussed, and the merits and shortcomings of various indicators are explored.
