Abstract: The authors respond to the commentaries of Michael Gottfredson and Lee Robins on their article “A Life-Course View of the Development of Crime.†They delve further into the effect of marriage on crime, potential problems with sampling and research design, and how their data speak directly to related hypotheses and theories.
