Abstract:
In some cities of China's central region (Anhui Province for example) the level of development is lower than in the east, and, as a result, its energy consumption is still fraught with waste. Through statistical analysis of energy-saving and consumption-reducing of cities in Anhui, it can be shown that the task of energy conservation and reduction of consumption in Anhui is greater than in other areas of China. An indicator system for the sustainable development of demand reduction in cities of Anhui province is developed to measure its level. The “Pressure-State-Response†(PSR) framework and principal component analysis are used for evaluation of the system. According to the analysis, some suggestions are obtained for achieving more energy-efficient production systems.
