Abstract:
The purpose of the paper is to draw some lines of long-run development of the USSR coal industry and to attract attention of western colleagues to some new possibilities of business activities related to a number of structural changes which are faced for this industry. Objective necessity of such restructuring and hard problems arising from it are, in the author's opinion, main objects to be taken into account in future co-operation. It is not intended to discuss details, but to review some effective directions. Restructuring directions are to be discussed within a wide spectrum of activities.
