On the Measurement of Power: Some Reactions to Laver

Abstract: Laver claims that the power index used in earlier papers by Johnston is unrealistic and that the Shapley–Shubik index is superior. These claims are investigated in the light of the nature of coalition formation in non-party-government situations.
