Abstract:
A model of population change is applied to the analysis of new and return migration in a two-region system. The structure of the model is examined analytically given various assumptions about constancy in numbers of migrants and in migration rates. The model is applied to the numerical example of birthplace-specific movement between Great Britain and the rest of the world.
