Numerical Experiments with Central Place Theory and Spatial Interaction Modelling

Stan Openshaw and Yannis Veneris

Environment and Planning A, 2003, vol. 35, issue 8, 1389-1403

Abstract: A method is described for obtaining zonal based trip and cost data that characterise a hypothetical K = 3 Christaller landscape. These data provide the basis for numerical investigations of the relationships between central place theory and spatial interaction models.
