Abstract:
This paper describes a method used for developing population density and rent distribution models for a hierarchy of centres. Such models may be thought of as describing intraurban or interurban situations. The discussion is confined to the generalization of existing single centre models. It is seen that strong formal links may exist between a single centre model and its multicentre counterpart.
