Abstract: This paper develops a multiplier interpretation and analysis for the accounting linkage of demographic and economic variables recently proposed in Schinnar (1976a). The various components of the model are illustrated with an application to the system of Hungarian accounts of 1960–1961. This application reveals spectral properties of invariance for the demographic distribution which is conjectured to be associated with stable economies and provides for a new approach to international comparative studies.
