Abstract:
The BBC interactive videodisc system is briefly described. Its utility as a geographical information system with potential applications relevant to planning is subject to a critical examination. It is concluded that the principal value of the Domesday system is as a pointer to possible future applications of interactive videodisc technology in a planning context.
