Abstract:
This paper comes in three parts. First, relevant principles of fÄ“ng-shuÇ are enunciated and examined. Second, these principles are applied to procedures to compute two parameters of predesign behaviour in Chinese traditional architectural practice: the fortunate orientation for a building site and an auspicious date for the start of its construction. Third, an interactive computer implementation is described that incorporates these procedures.
