Abstract: Minimal gratings have been used in work on rectangular dissections and other descriptions of architectural form. In this brief paper the set of minimal gratings and its cardinality are specified for dissections of weight n. Two theorems are demonstrated, and it is found that these are applicable to polyomino and spanning zero-one matrix configurations.
