Abstract:
This study examined the shift workers’ personal factors and personality characteristics as the predictors of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB). The study employed Ex-Post-Facto research methodology. Data were collected from 240 participants from five ferroalloy industries in Odisha, India. The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between individualism, collectivism, demographic variables and OCB. The study identified some future directions for personality research in industrial and organizational psychology and concludes with some caveats and directions for future research.
