Abstract: Leading global thinkers (Alfredo Behrens, Noel Tichy, Davide Sola, Wayne Brockbank, Ron Fry, Gregory Prastacos, Christine Pearson) spoke about the emerging business context. Globalization, impact of information technology and sustainable growth, have emerged as the major challenges of becoming competitive at both the national and organizational levels. The major trend discussed by these thinkers has been the emergence of the Global Tilt and the Changing Axis of Business; a decisive shift in the business hubs from the West to the East and from the North to the South. These thinkers also emphasized that both nations and organizations can be competitive if they create performance cultures, embrace technology and encourage merit.
