An Appeal to National Political Parties: On Behalf of Seven Women's Organisations

Indian Journal of Gender Studies, 1996, vol. 3, issue 2, 265-267
Abstract:
This appeal was submitted to the political parties prior to the general elections of 1996 by seven women's organisations. This loose-knit network has been lobbying for a number of years with the government and other agencies on several women's issues. The appeal articulates what women really want and illustrates the extent to which the parties fall short of women's expectations.
