Abstract:
A Marxian model of production relations applicable to a space economy, partitioned into regions, is described. The aspatial, "Fundamental Maxian Theorem" is then extended to the regional system. It is shown that the maximum regional exploitation rate exceeds the profit rate in the aggregate economy. Class conflicts and alliances are then considered in light of variable exploitation rates across regions.
