Abstract: “Economic bionics†connotes that bionic methods are used to describe and explore economic science and economic operation with reference to life science and life movement. There are three kinds of mechanisms that function in economic operations. The ecological mechanism denotes economic operation as an ecological system which follows the law of energy conservation and decay; the physiological mechanism specifies the smallest activity unit and the most basic functional unit in economic operation; and the psychological mechanism suggests that different levels of economic operation need different levels of control. Economic bionics will provide a new way of thinking for both economic theory and practice.
