Abstract: There is a clear relationship between people's health and well-being and the local economy. A healthy workforce is more likely to be productive, while hazardous working practices can have a major impact on health. This article focuses on the issue of men's health, arguing that measures to improve the health of men could be highly beneficial to the local economy and that workplaces provide a good setting for measures to improve male health.
